Pornographic Deepfake Content Depicting 'Slayy Point' Creators Violated Privacy: Delhi High Court

Update: 2026-01-20 08:18 GMT

The Delhi High Court has recently ordered the immediate takedown of pornographic, morphed and AI-generated deepfake content falsely depicting the creators of the YouTube channel “Slayy Point,” holding that such material is a prima facie breach of their fundamental right to privacy.

Justice Vikas Mahajan passed the ad interim injunction order on January 13, 2026, while allowing an application filed in a suit seeking protection against the circulation of non-consensual explicit content across online platforms.

The order will remain in force until the next date of hearing.

The suit was filed against multiple unknown individuals and online intermediaries such as Meta Platforms Inc., Reddit, X (formerly Twitter) and Google.

The creators told the Court that they jointly operate the “Slayy Point” YouTube channel, which enjoys a substantial following across social media platforms. It was submitted that their likeness and facial features had been digitally manipulated and superimposed onto pornographic videos and images, which were being circulated online without their consent.

It was further submitted that the objectionable content continued to be hosted on several pornographic websites and surfaced prominently on platforms operated by Meta, Reddit and X as well as through Google search results, despite repeated takedown requests.

After examining the material placed on record, the Court found that the videos and images were defamatory, derogatory and prima facie violative of the creators' fundamental right to privacy.

"On prima facie perusal of the same, it appears that the content is completely defamatory and derogatory and is a patent breach of the plaintiffs' fundamental right to privacy," the court said

Consequently, the Court granted an ad-interim injunction restraining the unknown persons from uploading, publishing, sharing or circulating any morphed, deepfake or pornographic content involving the creators.

Meta, Reddit and X were directed to take down the identified links hosting such content while Google was ordered to de-index the offending links from its search results.

The Court also granted liberty to the creators to notify the platforms of any additional links discovered in the future, which the platforms were directed to takedown in accordance with law.

The Union of India, through the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, was directed to issue appropriate blocking directions to internet service providers to disable access to the identified websites hosting the objectionable content.

Additionally, the Court directed the platforms to disclose available subscriber information of the persons responsible for uploading and circulating the content, to assist in further proceedings.

Recognizing the sensitivity of the matter, the Court permitted masking of the creators' names in judicial records and orders uploaded on the Court's website.

The matter will next be listed on January 30, 2026.
